A happy first day of fall everyone! I know our designers have a lot of fun fall kits in the works so keep your eyes peeled in the next few weeks for the goodies.
Before I show off the new releases, one quick but very huge announcement: Stuff to Scrap will be having a retreat next spring! Woohoo! The retreat will be held on April 27 & 28, 2012 in Schaumburg, Illinois. I am totally going to be there as it's only 40 minutes from where I live! Head over to the Digital Retreat forum for more information; I know Nicole is still working on getting everything squared away & as soon as everything is finalized, I'll have all the details here on the blog. But there's one little problem. We still don't have a name for the retreat & need your help in picking one. Head over to this thread & submit your idea(s); if your idea is picked then you'll win $20.00 to the Stuff to Scrap store! What are you waiting for? Share your ideas now!
OK, I know you want to go to the retreat so you'll need lots of kits to bring along with you [might want to pick up one of those 32 GB flash drives for the retreat!] so here's the new releases for the week. Lots of great stuff include several commercial use products; be sure to read through the post carefully, there may be freebies available for you to snag & sales going on!
Since it's now football season, you're going to need a kit to scrap all those game day pictures & HD Creations has released a series of kits that will help just about everyone out. Game Day is a multi-part kit that gives you several options. You can pick up the individual parts which come in color themes of blue, green, orange, red, & yellow; there's also a cute little cheerleader add-on. Or you can pick up the Game Day Bundle that has all the different kits wrapped into one easy download. Any way you look at this, it's a great deal especially since the individual kits are on sale for a limited time.
I'm always a sucker for cute little critters & the owls in You're A Hoot. by MDK Scraps fits my requirements quite nicely. This kit is perfect for scrapping all those fun photos of your family & friends; even better the kit is on sale for 40% off this week!
Flower Scraps has two new products out this week. If you missed picking up Birthday Girl through all the challenges Deanna hosted last week, you can now get it in the store along with a set of cardstocks. Such a lovely color scheme!
Deanna's other kit is inspired by her oldest daughter who goes roller skating several times a year.
Skate Party brings back so many memories for me of when I was a roller skating fiend; will have to see if my Mom has any pictures in her albums, heehee. If you like the kit don't forget to pick up the matching cardstocks & be sure to check out Deanna's blog for some neat freebies!
For you designers, Scraps by Andrea has released CU Textured Overlays Volume 1
which will be a great addition to your designing stash. Each overlay is 12x12, 300ppi, & quality checked. Plus [hint] you should take a gander at Andrea's blog for something special.
This next kit I got to work with & it's just perfect for fall photos. Mommy Me Time Scrapper & The Scrappy Kat have released Dive Into Fall & you can pick up both the kit and quick page set for 35% off for a limited time. You need to head over to Kat's blog as there's a little blog hop going on with lots of freebies! Note: This kit is the same whether bought from either The Scrappy Kat or Mommy Me Time Scrapper store.
KnittinJen is back in the designing game in a big way. For your scrapping pleasure, she's released a mega kit called Vanilla Daisies. Seriously, this kit is huge & has 77 elements, 31 papers, & a full alpha! Head over to her blog for a few great freebies. But if you also need a good action to take care of jaggies & stray pixels, don't hesitate to pick up KnittinJen's new Smooth Edge action. This will really help improve the quality of your elements at a bargain price!
More designing stash fun comes via Lovely Creations & her new release of Basic Frame Shapes. You'll get 8 frames in this purchase that can be used as the base for cluster frames to put in your kits or offer as freebies or add-ons. A must have for any designer.
For those of you with little ballerinas, you're going to love the new release by Queen Bee Scraps, Tutu Precious. There are lots of fun dancing elements & the colors match those standard little girl tutus that are just so adorable! Karina just might have something on her blog but you'll have to head over there to find out.
Looking for a kit that has non-traditional colors? Then take a gander at Just So by AmyDane Designs with it's color palette of orange, turquoise, black & white. You wouldn't think it would work but these ladies can do anything! I've seen some great layouts in the gallery with this kit, some don't even have the orange in them at all so you really can use this kit for just about anything. And it's on sale through the end of September plus there is a lovely stacked paper freebie on their blog to snag.
3 Lil' Monsters Designs has released her fabulous September Template Grab Bag, which nets you 16 great templates for only $4.00! How can you not pick this up? I am loving the diagonal templates in the set, so many possibilities with those cool designs. The best part is that you can win the entire set for free if you participate in the template challenge Amy is hosting over at her blog. Download the template & submit your entry no later than September 30th for a chance to win!
Finally, we have a new designer in the shop, please help us welcome Lahni AKA Queen Wild Scraps! Lahni has three amazing template sets releasing this week: Lickety Split Templates, Circles and Scallops Templates, & (B)Lock and Load Templates. Plus you just might [hint] want to check out Lahni's blog for a goodie!
