I'm a Little Teapot

Remember that song when you were growing up? I do, so when I saw the title it caught my eye. My granddaughters are always bringing me something to "drink." It's usually hot chocolate, but sometimes it juice. I love this kit, the papers are so cute and colorful, the elements are wonderful. I love the embroidered look of some of the elements. The swirls and the strings of flowers. Here is a preview of this kit by Scrapteam 2008. It's great. If you click on it you will go to their store.

Here are a couple of layouts I did with these kits. The first one is my granddaughter eating sour cream! She loves it.

This is of both of my granddaughters helping to make pancakes one morning. They love to stir!

A Passion for Paisley

The first kit I got to work with this month was A Passion for Paisley by Scraps ‘n Pieces – and I couldn’t be happier. I have been eyeing this kit since it came out and I am so pleased to have it. Check it out:

Aren’t the colors lovely? The papers are so awesome – a great mix of patterns and slightly grungy solids - and I have to say, the wire and flower element is just awesome! And the very best thing about this kit?? It will be in the $2 Tuesday bin tomorrow – make sure you go pick it up!! These colors match so many of my boys’ clothes that I think I’ll be using it a lot.

I am still working on my 2010 goal of getting my 4 year old’s first year album done - I'm just a bit behind. :) Here are a couple layouts that I also combined with the fun challenges over in the forums. This one I did for the speed scrap last week – I love seeing how everyone interprets the instructions! Come join us – the next one is scheduled for the 11th – check out the schedule here.

I did this layout for the scraplift challenge – it also uses a template by one of our new designers Designs by Sweet Mesquite. If you have never done any scraplifting, you should really give it a try. I was hesitant because I figured my layout would be so close to the original that it wasn’t really my work. It is actually great though because it is another way to stretch your scrapping muscles and try new things. I frequently mark layouts in the gallery as “favorites” so I can scraplift them later!

If you haven’t been to the forum lately, head over and check it out – it is new and improved and, frankly, just awesome!

Don't You Love Templates?!

Hello everyone, today I'm gonna talk to you about templates. To be more specific, layout's template!
Sometimes I have the right photo and the right kit, but somehow I can't get it right! I don't know if it's a creative block, a lack of inspiration or just tireness (specialy if I'm scrapping at the end of the day). So I found relief in templates! They are great, sometimes I just replace the papers and elements, sometimes I turn to the left, to the right, I change elements positions... believe me they are very versatile and time saving too.
Here I have a couple of templates from Designs by Sweet Mesquite. She has lovely template packs for you at the store. I used the pack All Cluster Up, template 1, 3 and 4.
Check out the template pack's preview {image linked to the store}
For this first one I used the template #4 and this cute kit is Watermelon Crawl from Scraps by Andrea.
I chose template #3 from the same template pack and the kit is Hippity Hoppity by Scraps N' Pieces.
The kits I used to make those pages you can find at STS store too!

I made another page, this time I used template #1 with an enchanted kit called Fairy's Garden a collab kit with Scrappin' Serenity and Flowers Scrap, to be released in March 15th also at STS Store.

So, give templates a try. I'm sure you are gonna love it!
Have a great scrapping day!
XOXO,
Adriana

Sweet & Simple

Hello Everyone!  I hope everyone’s Monday is treating them well!  I would like to show you a great mini kit created by Just For You Digi Scraps.  It’s called Sweet and Simple Mini Kit and what drew me to it was the colors.  Being a mom of two boys who is married to a very manly man, the colors of this kit were perfect for me!  It was originally created for a girl though, so it’s super versatile!  Here are a couple of pages I made using the kit:
