Countdown to Christmas ~ Day 9

Getting cold around here, I am not happy, not happy at all about that. I think my office space heater is running 18 hours a day right now, I really don't want to see the electric bill for the month! To focus on something fun & not cold, let's see what Britt of Gettin' Scrappy with Britt has for us today.

Such pretty ornaments & Britt has a wonderful story to go along with them.

"The first year we were married, all we could afford for our Christmas tree was just the basic bulbs. So my mom decided we need some special ones and bought each my husband and I some nice ones. Every year since then, so for the last 10 years, she's bought us new ornaments. Sometimes they are just random ones and sometimes they are reflect stuff that happened over the year. In 2010 we had a fire burn the mountain that we live on and it literally burned our backyard. So for that Christmas, she got us a fire truck for one of them and a butterfly. The fire truck was of course to reflect of the fire and the butterfly, well it was just pretty, LOL!! I always get excited every year to see what she's going to get us!"

Now that is a holiday tradition I can get behind, I love getting ornaments! Thanks for the great story Britt & here's her mini kit freebie. Just click on the preview to go to the store for the download & enjoy. I love watching ladies dancing, can't wait for when my boys are old enough to go to the Nutcracker & not try to storm the stage to get at the giant toys!

** This freebie has expired but you can still pick it up in the store for just $2.99! **

Beautiful - thank you!! I love my baubles too and each one is special. The best ones we got from USA and Canada - you get a much better range of Christmas trimmings than we do in the UK
