Challenge Me

I had to get this posted a little early as there's a speed scrap going on right now in the forum & I wanted to participate. There's still plenty of time to participate so hop on over to either the the chat room or follow along in the speed scrap thread! If you didn't have time to participate in the speed scrap, there's still plenty of challenges going on, here's just a few.

Most of us are big fans of using templates as they are great for getting a layout done quickly while still adding our own touches to the layout. Which is why the Template Challenge is usually the challenge with the most submissions! For the December Template Challenge you can pick up a fabulous template by Jodi of JMC Designs. Submit a layout using the template to earn 5 points & if you use 90% or more of any current STS products you'll earn an extra 5 points [use of just the template does not count towards the bonus points]. On the left is Winter Wonderland by Kimberly27 using Brights of Winter by B2N2 Designs; on the right is Autumn by beljed using Autumn Comfort by Growing Pains Scrapped.

Everyone loves getting a free kit & for the Use It or Lose It Challenge our designers offer a new mini kit for each month for the challenge. The catch? You need to use everything in the mini kit on your layout! It's always so much fun to see how different all the layouts turn out using the same item. This month, Adriana of Adriana's Cafe has provided us with the mini kit, Have a Holly Jolly Christmas; if you'd like to pick up the full kit in the store, it's just $2.50 for the whole month & you can also use anything from the full kit in your layout. But you must use everything included in the mini kit for the layout to count! Head over to December Use It or Lose It Challenge thread to pick up the free mini & post your layout. You'll earn 10 points for completing this challenge. On the left is Mickey Christmas by ILuvCrush; on the right is Rein-dears by angeldevildog.

Everyone loves doing the Scavenger Hunt Challenge as you get to see lots of great layouts that help inspire your own layouts. You'll find the list of 30 layouts to find in the December thread, your challenge is to find a layout that fits each description & leave a comment on the layout. Keep a list of all the links to your comments & when you've found all 30 items, send a private message to the challenge host for verification. Once your comments have been verified, you'll earn 15 points! Do NOT post your completed lists in the thread, as that would make it easier for others to just copy your list & we want y'all to work for your points!

The Word of the Week Challenge runs until Saturday, December 10th & this week's word is Cheerful. Post your layouts in this week's WOW thread by Saturday night to earn your points. Remember that to earn the bonus points, you need to complete each week's challenge, you can find the WOW rules & point tracking thread right here. The Fine Print: You'll earn points on almost all of the challenges & when you reach 500 points, you'll receive a $5.00 gift card to the Stuff to Scrap store to purchase anything that catches your fancy. Points roll over from month to month & do not expire! Please remember that to earn any extra bonus points, you must state in your challenge post that you've used 90% or more current STS products or you will not earn the bonus points. There is no double dipping with challenges, i.e. you cannot use a layout made for a speed scrap for one of the monthly challenges or use one layout for two challenges. The only exception is a double page layout where each side is for a different challenge. The use of quick pages for challenge layouts are not allowed, all layouts must be made from scratch or with a template. You are most welcome to make a post in the December Challenge Round-up thread to keep track of all the challenges & points you've earned. As always, any layouts featured in this post are linked to the gallery for easy love leaving.
