Inspire Me

It's shaping up to be a lovely fall weekend, sunny but cold; guess it's time to put all the summer toys away. Don't forget to check out the new designer interview, this week we're meeting Shel of Shel Belle Scraps. There have been some great layouts submitted to the gallery this week, let's take a look!

Love Letter to My Husband | Kimberly27
This is such a great example of doing a lot of journaling with some pictures to highlight said journaling. I love how Kimberly has turned all the pictures black & white to stick with the simple color scheme. The little pops of green draw your eye to the clusters without being too overwhelming; simply stunning. Kimberly used the kit Keep the Faith by Scrappin' Serenity & a template by 3 Lil Monsters Designs.

Family 2011 | Loner
This layout was done for a speed scrap & if I could think like Lori (AKA Scraps N' Pieces), I would be sitting pretty. Love the family picture with them all spread across the road, it's the perfect shot to fill up the layout. Lori's clustering is just fantastic with the title coming out of the cluster; of course the kit colors go perfectly with the photo! Lori used her kit 4 Seasons Fall for this stunner.

Happiness is Like a Buttefly | Poki04
This layout caught my eye because it was so simple & lovely. I adore the touch of glitter Poki has put around the darker paper & the simple clusters around the picture & in the corners. The quote is so pretty & I'm digging the use of the butterfly elements to make it seem like they are coming out of the picture. Poki used the lovely kit Autumn Charm by 3 Li'l Monsters Designs.

Hammer | kateinoz
Yes, I am a sucker for animal layouts & the pictures that Kate decided to scrap for this layout are just too adorable for words. Can't you just see this guy looking over the fence & absolutely having to go over & give him a scratch? Love the clustering & stacked paper, especially the offset frames behind both pictures. Pick up the kit Ruff Ruff by Just So Scrappy if you love this layout!

Had to Hurt | Tamila
We've all got 'em. Those pictures of our kids after they've done something that leaves a mark & after the damage has been assess & determined not to be too bad ... well, it's picture time! Love that Tammy's kept the layout simple to let the pictures speak for themselves; her son looks like he's ready to tackle that jungle gym again! If you've got injury photos, you'll want to pick up the kit Tammy used, BooBoos and Band-Aids by Just for You Digi-Scraps.

Proud Grandparents | Anitaw
Finally, I'm really in love with the vintage feel of this layout. I love the cutout little circles on the big circle along with the photo mask that Anita used for the picture. The whole layout draws your eye right to the photo with the four circles & minimal elements completing the look. Anita used the kit Vintage Romance by Cutie Fruity for this lovely layout.

'Tis all for this week! Head on over to last week's thread, the Gallery, & the Stuff to Scrap Inspiration Blog to see what else our forum members have been up to & leave some love on your favorites. If you happen to see a layout that you would like to see featured on the blog, post it in this week's thread; I want to know what inspires you!
