Challenge Me

We're getting closer to the end of the month, if you haven't gotten many challenges done yet, here's a few more that you still have time to complete!

First up, don't forget that you've got until October 25th at 11:59 PM MST to participate in the November Road Trip ~ Everyday Elegance! Anyone can participate in the Road Trip from experienced designers to newbies. Even if you're not a designer you can still participate by using any of the mini kits already submitted to make a quick page to offer, just send the designer a private message. Please read through the Information Thread for general instructions & the November Road Trip thread for specific information on the upcoming Road Trip. Here's a couple of the submissions so far, why don't you come & join us in the fun? It's a great way to get a lot of traffic to your blog! Here a couple of the submissions already up in the forum.

A really fun challenge is the Scrap What? Challenge where we are often challenged to scrap things we might never have thought of before. This month, Karina of Queen Bee Scraps is challenging us to scrap an item or food that represents your heritage. Oh my, this is going to be a hard one; I think a lot of us are going to need to put our thinking caps on. Post your take on the challenge in the October Scrap What? Challenge thread. For this challenge you can earn 10 points plus an extra 5 points if you use 90% or more of any current STS products.

Since many of us are on Facebook, naturally there is a Facebook Challenge to complete. But I'm going to make you do a little work for this challenge; you'll have to go to the Stuff to Scrap Facebook Page & look under the Discussions tab for the instructions. Post your layouts in the October Facebook Challenge thread to earn your points. This challenge will net you 5 points & if you use 90% or more of any current STS products you'll earn an extra 5 points. On the left is Riding the Waves by Katherine using Surf's Up by B2N2 Scraps; on the right is Pumpkin Carving by Sheri using Carving Pumpkins by Scraps N' Pieces.

Another social media challenge is the Twitter Challenge which is very short due to the distribution method! I'm not going to post it here, you're going to have to go to the Stuff to Scrap Twitter page to find your directions [check around October 1st]. Once you've got your layout done, post it in the October Twitter Challenge thread & you'll earn 5 points with an additional 5 points if you use 90% or more of any current STS products. On the left is Lil' Miss Kitty by Tammy using Ghoulish Glam by This Little Missy; on the right is Halloween 2010 by BriannasScrapper using Lil' Spooks by This Little Missy.

For those of you who enjoy putting together a yearly calendar, the Calendar Challenge will help you complete that goal. It doesn't matter what month you complete, as long as you get one layout done for each month of the year; your calendar can be either digital or hybrid. While there are no points attached to this challenge, if you've completed all the months by the end of the year, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a $5.00 gift card to use towards printing your calendar. Head over to the Calendar Challenge thread to get started! Here's one by Love2Learn for October using Forever in Blue Jeans by Scraps of Ellay.

This week's Word of the Week Challenge is Pumpkin & runs until Saturday, October 22. Post your layouts in this week's WOW thread by Saturday night to earn your points. Remember that to earn the bonus points, you need to complete each week's challenge, you can find the WOW rules & point tracking thread right here. Here's one by Henriett using Carving Pumpkins by Scraps N' Pieces.

The Challenge of the Week is a Font challenge using the font Dirty Headline. See this week's COW thread to download the font & post your layout by Saturday night to earn your points. Remember that to earn the bonus points, you need to complete each week's challenge, you can find the COW rules & point tracking thread right here. On the left is 7 Months by pisgah13 using Child's Play Revamped by Scraps of Ellay; on the right is Carving Pumpkin by Henriett using Little Monsters by Lovely Creations.

Finally, this week's Featured Designer Challenge is brought to you Crystal of Digital Scrap Fun & runs until Sunday, October 23. Crystal has put her whole store on sale for 40% off until Sunday so if you don't have any of her fabulous kits yet, now you've got a great excuse to pick one up & get a layout posted in the thread by Sunday night! Here's one by Dannethia using Indian Summer.

The Fine Print: You'll earn points on almost all of the challenges & when you reach 500 points, you'll receive a $5.00 gift card to the Stuff to Scrap store to purchase anything that catches your fancy. Points roll over from month to month & do not expire! Please remember that to earn any extra bonus points, you must state in your challenge post that you've used 90% or more current STS products or you will not earn the bonus points. There is no double dipping with challenges, i.e. you cannot use a layout made for a speed scrap for one of the monthly challenges or use one layout for two challenges. The only exception is a double page layout where each side is for a different challenge. You are most welcome to make a post in the October Challenge Round-up thread to keep track of all the challenges & points you've earned. As always, any layouts featured in this post are linked to the gallery for easy love leaving.
