Weekly Challenges & Speed Scraps

Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day but today is gray & rainy; my husband has declared it a chili & football day! Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of either so I think I'm going to hide in our office & scrap away while the testosterone is on high in the living room. Here's your round up of the weekly challenges, remember that these challenges end fast so you'll want to get them done as soon as possible to earn your points or prize!

First up is the Word of the Week Challenge which runs from Sunday, September 25 to Saturday, October 1. For this week Katina of Queen Bee Scraps has chosen the word September. This would be a great way to do a layout that looks at all the fun stuff you've done in the past month; personally, I do a month-in-review page for each month, guess I better get cracking on it! Post your layouts in this week's WOW thread by Saturday night to earn your points. Remember that to earn the bonus points, you need to complete each week's challenge, you can find the WOW rules & point tracking thread right here.

Next is the Challenge of the Week Challenge just like the WOW Challenge, this runs from Sunday, September 25 to Saturday, October 1. This week we have been challenged to make a layout using Birthday Magic Numbers challenge. Confused? Well it's pretty simple but hard for me to explain so head over to the thread for the exact instructions, I think Carissa explained them very well. Post your layouts in this week's COW thread by Saturday night to earn your points. Remember that to earn the bonus points, you need to complete each week's challenge, you can find the COW rules & point tracking thread right here.

Remember that you've still got a few more hours to submit a layout for this week's Featured Designer Challenge hosted by Becky AKA SAHM Scrapper & earn the participation prize!

Finally, here are the Speed Scraps for this week. The week's first speed scrap will be tonight, Sunday September 25 at 6 PM PST / 7 PM MST / 8 PM CST / 9 PM EST & will be hosted by Jodi of Jensen Motley Crew Designs. Come join Jodi & other forum members in the chat room or follow along in the forum. Your participation prize will be a $5.00 gift card good for anything in Jodi's store!

You'll get to end the month with a speed scrap on Friday, September 30th at 7 PM PST / 8 PM MST / 9 PM CST / 10 PM EST & will be hosted by Christie of Scrappin' Serenity. Come join Christie & other forum members in the chat room or follow along in the forum. The participation prize will be a super cute add-on for one of her upcoming kits, Potions & Spells.

The Fine Print: You'll earn points on almost all of the challenges & when you reach 500 points, you'll receive a $5.00 gift card to the Stuff to Scrap store to purchase anything that catches your fancy. Points roll over from month to month & do not expire! Please remember that to earn any extra bonus points, you must state in your challenge post that you've used 90% or more current STS products or you will not earn the bonus points. There is no double dipping with challenges, i.e. you cannot use a layout made for a speed scrap for one of the monthly challenges or use one layout for two challenges. The only exception is a double page layout where each side is for a different challenge. You are most welcome to make a post in the September Challenge Round-up thread to keep track of all the challenges & points you've earned.
