Challenge Me

Anyone excited that it's almost the weekend? We're going to get started with our fall activities this weekend; that means lots of pictures to scrap for the challenges so let's take a look at some more of the challenges going on this month!

You'll earn points on almost all of the challenges & when you reach 500 points, you'll receive a $5.00 gift card to the Stuff to Scrap store to purchase anything that catches your fancy. Points roll over from month to moth & do not expire! Please remember that to earn any extra bonus points, you must state in your challenge post that you've used 90% or more current STS products or you will not earn the bonus points. You are most welcome to make a post in the September Challenge Round-up thread to keep track of all the challenges & points you've earned. As always, the layouts featured are linked to the gallery for easy love leaving.

Let's start with the Recipe Challenge, I love this one as all the layouts turn out so different even with the same instructions. This month the recipe is based on the word September & goes as follows: S is for stitching; E is for an even number of photos; P is for printing some journaling; T is for a title; E is for 11 eleven elements (do not need to be unique, can be repeated); M is for matting at least one photo; B is for at least one border; E is for 8 strips of paper; and R is for at least one ribbon (ricrac counts).

Let's see what you can come up with using this recipe; for completing the challenge you'll earn 10 points for this challenge & if you use 90% or more of any current STS products you'll earn an extra 5 points! Here's a few submissions, on the left we have Crazy Pics by BriannasScrapper using TXT ME by This Little Missy; on the right is New Beefies by Kendra using the kit Curious Cutie by Meagan's Creations, which is available for free for a limited time on Meagan's facebook page! And can anyone explain what a beefie is?

I always love doing the Scavenger Hunt Challenge as I get to see lots of great layouts that help inspire my own layouts. Every month, a list of 30 items are posted in the thread, your challenge is to find a layout that fits a description & leave a comment on the layout. Keep a list of all the links to your comments & when you've found all 30 items, PM the challenge host for verification. Once your comments have been verified, you'll earn 15 points! Do NOT post your completed lists in the thread, as that would make it easier for others to just copy your layouts & we want y'all to work for your points!

Next is the Quick Page Exchange where a different kit is featured each month; this month the featured kit is Take a Hike by Shel Belle Scraps & Shel has put the kit on sale for 50% off the whole month! You are challenged to create a quick page with the kit (& only the kit featured to avoid copyright issues), please see the rules in the first post for more information. Don't know how to make a quick page? Go to this thread in the forum to download a free action for PSE & PS; you can find some great tips on making quick pages in this thread. For participating you'll get 10 points plus at the end of the month, Shel will email you all the quick pages that have been submitted! Here's a few of the pages already submitted, on the left is one by Gluvsc; on the right is IsabellaLR's submission.

For the weekly challenges, the Word of the Week Challenge is going on through Saturday, September 17; this week's word is Remember. Post your layouts in this week's WOW thread by Saturday night to earn your points. Remember that to earn the bonus points, you need to complete each week's challenge for the entire month, you can find the WOW rules & point tracking thread right here. JD Templeton by Mamatx using Fruit of the Spirit: Patience by Designs by Snowlady; on the right is Potato Head Fun by Sheri using Dress Up Time by Gettin' Scrappy with Britt & B2N2 Scraps.

Challenge of the Week Challenge is also running until Saturday, September 17; this week you are tasked with using the word honor as the inspiration for a layout. Post your layouts in this week's COW thread by Saturday night to earn your points. Remember that to earn the bonus points, you need to complete each week's challenge for the entire month, you can find the COW rules & point tracking thread right here. This week's Featured Designer Challenge is brought to you Deanna (AKA Flower Scraps) & is running until Sunday, September 18. You can earn 1/4 of the kit Deanna is offering by participating in the challenge & posting your layout using any of Deanna's current products in this week's thread. The remaining 3/4's of the kit can be earned by completing other challenges so head over to Deanna's blog to find out how. Don't forget that Deanna has put her whole store on sale for 40% this week only! On the left is Skate by Tammy using Skate Party (releasing 9/21!); on the left is Wesley by Katherine using Bubble Bath Buddies.

Finally, there's going to be a speed scrap tonight, Thursday, September 15 at 6 PM PST / 7 PM MST / 8 PM CST / 9 PM EST & is being hosted by Mom2Moo Designs. Join us in the chat room or follow along in the forum! The participation prize will be a $3.99 coupon to Mom2Moo Designs' store!

Stephanie, Beefies are what my nieces and nephew named the flannel and terry burp clothes my MIL made for them when they were babies. My DD uses them as blankets for her babies, etc. I am not sure how BCs became beefies but that is what my inlaws call them now :)
