Welcome to the second new feature of the blog! Every week, I'll be posting layouts from the Stuff to Scrap Gallery for everyone to ooh & aah over; hopefully these layouts will inspire you in your own scrapping. All the layouts are linked to the gallery so you can leave some love!
Paper Fish | Tamlia
Our first layout shows off a great way to remember all those school crafts your kids have made without actually saving the physical craft which can take up a lot of room in your closets. Tammy took a picture of a paper fish her son made in class & extracted just the fish for her layout. I love how she's framed it & listed some information about when it was made; doesn't this look like it should be hanging on the fridge in her kitchen? Tammy used Back 2 School from Scraps by Andrea for this; I know I've got a few ideas on how to save the many, many crafts my boys have already made.
CIY Volleyball Tourney | LiaLauren
Did you know we have a whole section of the forum just for our Junior Scrappers? Many of our Junior Scrappers are the children of forum members & since they love scrapping just as much as their moms, Nicole set up a section just for them! If you've got a kiddo who loves digital scrapbooking, have them check out the section; there are exclusive Junior Scrapper challenges & speed scraps plus they can also participate in the regular forum challenges.
This layout was done by Lia, daughter of Tammy, & shows off a volleyball tournament that she participated in this summer. I love how Lia journaled on the tape & used that cool silhouette of the player. She used the new kit, Pass, Set, Kill!, by Scraps N' Pieces for this fabulous layout & I can't wait to see more of Lia's creations!
Maggie | ILuvCrush
I'm going to admit, I'm a sucker for a cute animal picture & these pictures of Paula's new puppy Maggie are way too cute not to show off! The forced perspective of the pictures creates such a look look & I love how the pictures have different mats & frames. The alpha is super cool with the zebra strips & little flowers on each letter. Paula used Fancy Zebra by Mommy Me Time Scrapper; it's such a funky & fun kit to scrap with. Especially for adorable little puppies.
Great, Great, Great Grandmother | BriannasScrapper
Whew, that's a long title! But this layout by Daphne is a great example of how you can take a themed kit & use it for something totally different. She used the new kit, Exploration, by Designs by Snowlady which is actually a camping & outdoorsy kit. However, Daphne used the kit to scrap a beautiful layout featuring some of her ancestors in a picture from 1898! This was done for the Scrap What? challenge where the challenge this month is to scrap your family tree. A great take on the challenge; especially with Daphne explanation of the relationship of the subjects to her daughter.
Jr. Astronaut | FilandStef
There are so many fun places to take kiddos these days when the weather is bad & a good example is the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. At least it looks like tons 'o fun from the pictures Stephanie took of her little one! I'm loving how the elements are falling from one side of the layout to the other; using the gear element as a frame is such a neat idea. This layout was made for the Quick Page Exchange where the featured kit for this month is Space Cadet by AmyDane Designs. There's still a few more days to pick up the kit *psst it's on sale for $2.00!* & do the challenge!
Waiting | PurpleSparkly
Finally we have this fun back to school layout using Scraps By Andrea's newest, Back 2 School to complete the Recipe Challenge. I love the funky, off-center look of this layout; especially the circles with different papers & scattered elements. Going back to school can be a lot more fun if you have your grandma to wait at the bus stop with you!
Head on over to the STS Gallery to see what else our forum members have been up to this week & leave some love on your favorites. If you happen to see a layout that you would like to see featured on the blog, post it in the Inspiration Station section of the forum; I'll have a thread up each week & would love to see what inspires you!
