Shel Belle Scraps in the Designer Darling Spotlight

Let's start with the basics:
Name: Michelle (Shel) Hals
Username at Stuff to Scrap: shelbelle
Blog Address: http://shelbellescraps.blogspot.com
Store: http://tinyurl.com/shelbelle

Now that you know which designer we're talking to, let's learn a little more about them and family comes first:
Husband: None yet!
Kids: None--although I do have two beautiful nieces.
Pets: Teddy, a spoiled--but sweet--cocker spaniel

What do you like doing with your family? Any time we can do something fun--watch a movie, play a game, take in a baseball game, I'm happy.
It's an alternate universe and your computer won't turn on for an entire week, what do you do with yourself? I'd probably read a lot, get in some additional workouts, clean out the closets, watch Twins baseball. Nothing outrageous.

Alright, the computer's all better - let's talk digi-scrapping for a few minutes.

When did you start designing and how did you learn? I began designing the summer of 2008 and my first kit went live on September 1, 2008. I took an online scrapbook design class from HP but mostly learned by trial and error.
What program/programs do you use to design? I primarily use CS3 but occasionally use PSE6.
Where do you get your inspiration? I get inspired quite a bit when I go shopping. I've been known to use my cell phone to take pictures of things (color schemes, patterns, buildings, landscapes, etc.) to look at later.
How did you pick your digi-scrap name? My friends and family call me Shel and I love the song "Michelle" by the Beatles. So I combined the lyrics from that song ("Michelle, ma belle") with what my family calls me and came up with Shel Belle Scraps.
What’s your favorite kit that you've designed? Sail Away. It was inspired by a pillow I saw at Target (one of my favorite places to get inspiration). What I had originally envisioned as a regular size kit grew into a mega kit. I love that it can be used to scrap so many different things. I've used it to scrap all sorts of pictures: by the pool pictures, baby boy pictures, and even baseball pictures!
Alright, this is a hard one, but what's your least favorite? One of my earliest kits was called Harvest Moon. I liked the color scheme (navy blue, orange, and charcoal gray) but it didn't come together like I'd hoped. Sorry to anyone who downloaded that one.
Describe yourself in one word: Funny.
Share a secret with us. What's something that not everyone knows about you? I know every line from the movies Grease, Major League, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Not useful knowledge to have, but I've got it.
If I said you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? I love London and can't wait to visit again. I'd also like to visit Australia and Costa Rica.
What is your favorite food? I'm not too picky, but I really don't like hotdish.
Do you collect anything? Do digi-scrap kits count? :)
What is your favorite TV show? Glee. It even inspired a kit of mine!
What is your favorite color? Yellow. I use it a lot in my kits.

I put together a mini kit for you called Wishes. Click on the preview to head to the store to grab this kit. Use coupon code shel_DDspotlight to get it for free. (Good through July 11.)
