OK, who remembers Pound Puppies? I do! Check out what Sarah has to say about this adorable picture.
"I was three in this photo, and I was so excited about getting this Pound Puppy for Christmas. It became my favorite toy that I couldn't sleep without. I still have her up on a shelf in my bedroom, ragged and thread-bare. I haven't had many out-of-the-ordinary Christmas experiences. My family has a very predictable, very vanilla, very family-centered Christmas celebration every year, so the craziest thing I can remember was when I was younger (maybe 5 or 6) and on Christmas Eve our furnace quit working. Needless to say, our house was freezing, so we piled in the car and drove the hour to my Grandma's house to spend the rest of the night (we were planning on going there Christmas morning anyway). I just remember so excited and feeling like I'd never be warm again after waking up so cold in the middle of the night. Amazingly enough, that's the most out of the ordinary that my Christmases have been! LOL."
Hey, nothing wrong with having ordinary Christmases; sometimes that really what people want! And as to the Pound Puppies, I actually have a handmade one that I got as a birthday present from a neighbor around the time they were popular & that picture of Sarah brings back so many great memories.
