Challenge Me

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! As I'm in the middle of getting everything ready for the feast, let's get this post rolling. Don't forget about the Thanksgiving Weekend Sale Extravaganza that starts tonight, check out this post for all the details!

A quick reminder that the nomination thread for the November Layout of the Month is up, if you've got a layout to nominate, please post it in the thread by November 27!

Don't forget that you've got one more day to participate in the December Road Trip Country Christmas. You'll need to post your preview & blog code in the December Road Trip thread by November 25th at 11:59 PM MST. Your contributions must remain a freebie until the 15th of the month, after that you are welcome to expire your contribution, sell it, or leave it as a freebie on your blog. Please read through the Information Thread for general instructions & the December Road Trip thread for specific information on the upcoming Road Trip. Take a look at some of the cute submissions so far. Come & join us! On the left is a contribution by LadySilver & on the right is Dannethia's submission.

Working with digital products all the time can make one long for the scent of fresh glue. If that describes you, then check out the Hybrid Challenge where you are given a project each month that will use both digital & traditional scrapbooking products. Usually all you'll need for the projects are your printer, cardstock, a good pair of scissors, & glue. This month Paula has challenged us to make a Memory Game; this would be a great project to give as socking stuffers at Christmas. Post a photo of your completed project in the November Hybrid Challenge thread for everyone to see. If you complete this challenge, you'll earn 15 points! Here's what I did, if anyone wants the directions on how to do it just drop me a line! I used a variety of kits including Planes, Trains, & Automobiles by Manda Lane Scraps; Pilgrimage Home by The Scrappy Kat; Happy Monster by Scraps by Andrea; & Animals Animals All Around by Scrappin' Serenity.

A really fun challenge is the Scrap What? Challenge where we are often challenged to scrap things we might never have thought of before. This month, Mom2Moo Designs is challenging us to scrap something we are thankful for. Post your take on the challenge in the November Scrap What? Challenge thread. For this challenge you can earn 10 points plus an extra 5 points if you use 90% or more of any current STS products. On the left is Thankful for Family by Allielli using Thankful Blessings by Queen Bee Scraps; on the right is Building a Bench by Junfunkie using Isn't She Lovely by Digi-Designs by Nicole.

Another social media challenge is the Twitter Challenge which is very short due to the distribution method! I'm not going to post it here, you're going to have to go to the Stuff to Scrap Twitter page to find your directions [check around November 1]. Once you've got your layout done, post it in the November Twitter Challenge thread & you'll earn 5 points with an additional 5 points if you use 90% or more of any current STS products. On the left is Autumn by Sheri using Warm Fall Days by Adriana's Cafe; on the right is Rachel Making Rolls by ljacobsen using Gobble Till You Wobble by Scraps n' Pieces.

For those of you who enjoy putting together a yearly calendar, the Calendar Challenge will help you complete that goal. It doesn't matter what month you complete, as long as you get one layout done for each month of the year; your calendar can be either digital or hybrid. While there are no points attached to this challenge, if you've completed all the months by the end of the year, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a $5.00 gift card to use towards printing your calendar. Head over to the Calendar Challenge thread to get started!

The Word of the Week Challenge runs until Saturday, November 26 & this week's word is Just. Post your layouts in this week's WOW thread by Saturday night to earn your points. On the left is racing by Kendra using Let Your Light Shine; on the right is MyBoy by Brenian4ever using Oh Boy! [coming December 1!].

The Fine Print: You'll earn points on almost all of the challenges & when you reach 500 points, you'll receive a $5.00 gift card to the Stuff to Scrap store to purchase anything that catches your fancy. Points roll over from month to month & do not expire! Please remember that to earn any extra bonus points, you must state in your challenge post that you've used 90% or more current STS products or you will not earn the bonus points. There is no double dipping with challenges, i.e. you cannot use a layout made for a speed scrap for one of the monthly challenges or use one layout for two challenges. The only exception is a double page layout where each side is for a different challenge. The use of quick pages for challenge layouts are not allowed, all layouts must be made from scratch or with a template. You are most welcome to make a post in the November Challenge Round-up thread to keep track of all the challenges & points you've earned. As always, any layouts featured in this post are linked to the gallery for easy love leaving.
