Last Day of the Stuff to Scrap Birthday Celebration!

Hey Everyone!

I hope you've been enjoying all the challenges and freebies this month, to celebrate Stuff to Scraps 2nd Birthday. I'm Colleen, I design as Rainamoon Scraps and have been here at Stuff to Scrap for a bit over a year now. I'm 32 years old and I live in Canada with my Husband Rob & our beautiful daughter Deirdre who will be 3 in a couple months.

I really love birthdays, to the point that I kind of feel like it's a national holiday celebrating me lol. When I worked outside the home I took my birthday off of work everytime I could just to relax or do what I want to do. I'm really excited this year because it's the first year that I think she will actually understand what's going on and get excited about it. I would looooove to throw a party incorporating all her favourite things but I'm not sure how to pull off orange hockey princesses so I think we'll just stick to princesses. Her birthday is at the end of summer, which is no big deal right now as all her friends are kids of our friends & family, but I imagine it will get harder once school starts.

My punchbowl question is : Did you ever have a theme party (or have you thrown one for someone else)? And along those lines and do's or don't for future parties?

Here is your freebie, I made a brand new mini kit for you, not even in the store yet. It'll be free Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday and then you can get it in the store.

Thank you so much. We didn't organise thematic birthdays in my family. My birthday is also in the summer, so I never had a party with friends from school! But we celebrate name's day, and then I had a big one!

Thank you!! My favorite, watermelon!! It's the theme for my kitchen and I just love the colors... no theme bdays except for the boys and really just the cake. I am not a big decorator! =)

Thank you for this cute kit for the final day of the birthday celebration.

As for theme parties... I think they are easier than non-theme parties because you have somewhere to go with the decorations, foods, cake, games, etc. For whatever reason, it is easier for me to pull it together when I have a central theme. All that being said, I tend to then go overboard with the theme and don't know when to say 'enough is enough' and let it be. :)

What a yummy & beautiful kit. Thank you.

I try and do themes for my boys' parties. I like doing that: cake, party favors, decoration colors, etc.
